Executive and Non-Executive Directors

Nigel Payne, Non-Executive Chairman

Nigel Payne has 26 years experience at board level, covering a wide range of industries; advertising, manufacturing, distribution, retail, finance and e-commerce. Nigel has had wide-ranging exposure to various types of corporate activity including acquisitions, floatations and fundraising. Nigel was Chief Executive of Sportingbet UK plc between 2000 and 2006 and since 2006 he has been a non-executive director. Between 1995 and 2000 Nigel was group finance, business development and IT director of Polestar Magazines, the largest independent printer in Europe (operating in 19 countries). Between 1993 and 1995 Nigel was finance and IT director of Home Brewery plc, a subsidiary of Scottish & Newcastle plc.

Dustin Dryden, Chief Executive Officer

Dustin Dryden is a qualified pilot and has been flying for 18 years both on fixed wing and rotary aircraft. He co-founded the business in 2002 and has been Chief Executive Officer since inception being instrumental in its growth to date. He has over 15 years experience in aviation sales and jet management having represented several of the major aircraft manufacturers in their global marketplace. He has specialist technical and contractual knowledge within the business jet environment from his worldwide operations and has first-hand experience of the certification and launch of new aircraft types.

Philip Brady, Chief Financial Officer

Philip has a law degree and is a Chartered Accountant who spent 8 years with BDO Stoy Hayward in Corporate Finance where he completed over 40 different types of investments in both the public and private markets.  He was previously on the Board of Real Office Group Plc as Finance Director, for two years, where he managed a number of corporate transactions including the reverse takeover of three businesses and a number of start ups.  He has worked in a number of locations across the world including India and the Middle East and as a result he has extensive knowledge and experience of running the finance function of a global business.  He has a deep understanding of the regulatory regimes around listed companies and investment experience in dealing with small and medium sized enterprises. 

 

 

 

David Cowham, Non-Executive Director

David is a non-executive director of Betex Group plc. David has over 34 years of experience in the finance industry. He served as CEO of First National Bank plc from 1988 to 1994 and more recently was a director and Chairman of Loans.co.uk plc from 1995 to 2001. David was also a seed capital investor in Sportingbet plc in 2001.

George Rolls, Non-Executive Director

Over the last 25 years, George Rolls has been a director, manager and adviser to many private companies in a variety of sectors such as manufacturing, publishing and print media, technology and consumer products. Earlier in his career, George spent several years in Australia, primarily working in trading and insurance, before returning to the UK where he founded Beaufort Securities of which he was a director between 1992 and 2006. Since selling Beaufort Securities in 2008, George has acted as a consultant for private high net worth individuals and more recently has been involved with the launch of a software technology fund. George is a trustee of the Geoffrey de Havilland Flying Foundation and the Honorary Secretary of The Air Squadron. He holds a current helicopter pilots licence and has a keen interest in aviation.

David Savile,Non-Executive Director

David, age 52, has over 30 years’ of invaluable global aviation experience, and a renowned track record in the sector. As Chief Executive Officer of Air Partner Plc from 1993 to 2010, he oversaw quantum growth in sales, market penetration, global expansion, profitability and value, and he was the driving force ensuring the Group operated as the highest levels of quality and professionalism, befitting a public company.
